I just came home from 4 fantastic days of brasilian carnaval! It was fun, crazy, wet (it started to rain hard one day on the street!) :-) Here are some videos from the carnaval, so you can get the feeling of how it was, but trust me, you should have been there to truly know it haha. We stayed a big group of people in one little house, talking, drinking, eating and just having a good time. Itapecuru is further in to the country, about 1-2 hours away from Sao Luis.
